Gamblin Studio Palette Knife, The Robert

Gamblin

$13.99

Gamblin Studio Palette Knives are top-of-the-line professional quality painting tools. All studio knives in the collection are crafted with the artist in mind. Each blade is suited to serve specific art studio functions from paint mixing to application.

Gamblin Studio Palette Knives feature FlexSteel™ blades. FlexSteel™ is one-piece, non-reflective carbon steel, meaning no more blades that break-off or coatings that flake off. Each blade has even tension, flexibility, and maneuverability for oils, acrylic, and gouache. The matte-satin, glare-free finish allows for better visibility while color mixing.

Gamblin Studio Palette Knives feature FSC-certified, ergonomic FeelGoodBirch™ handles. Each handle is thoughtfully designed to fit your hand and is crafted from sustainably grown birch. Artists will appreciate the color dipped handles for easy knife differentiation.

The Robert – This knife is Robert Gamblin’s favorite! The Japanese-inspired blade boasts the longest edge of all Gamblin Studio Palette Knives. It is ideal for cutting sharp lines and crisp marks. The relatively narrow face means this knife has more bounce than the rest of the Studio Palette Knife family.

If you mix and tube your own paints, you know how hard it can be to feed a 37 ml tube! Trust us, The Robert will make that job much easier.

  • Shape: Diamond, Spear
  • Blade Dimensions: 3.125" Long x 0.625" Wide
  • Overall Length (Including Handle): 9.625"

Care Instructions: Clean your knives with Gamsol, soap and water, a cleaning wipe, or Safflower Oil. It is best to avoid over bending or letting paint dry on the blade and soaking the handle in water, solvent, or any liquid. For storage, the flat base gives you the option to stand your knives or hang them from a magnetic strip.

Fun Fact: As a tribute to Gamblin’s journey as a colorhouse, each knife is named after a street in Portland, OR that Gamblin called home. Well, almost every knife. This knife, the Robert, is a nod to Gamblin's Founder, Robert Gamblin.
