Ampersand Primed Smooth Artist Panels are a smooth finish option for oil and acrylic painters. These smooth panels are ready-to-use; no need to seal, apply layers of gesso, or sand. Even the sides are primed, so you can wrap your artwork around the panel. The semi-absorbent surface is made for multimedia and is primed/coated with acid-free acrylic gesso. The smooth surface allows for amazing detail work and is great for oil, acrylic, mixed media, paint pouring, graphite, collage, alcohol ink, heavy impasto, and much more. It’s also perfectly suited for mounting papers, photos, and giclées.
Panels are made with a high-quality, medium density fiberboard (MDF) which offers a strong, stable surface that holds up to heavy paint applications and rigorous palette knife work. The high-density, solid wood cradles provides extra support to protect your art and prevent warping.
