Montana VARNISH Sprays are acid-free, quick drying, clear varnishes made with an acrylic base. It protects and fixes paint on surfaces like canvas, paper, charcoal drawing, bast fibre, wood, photos, etc. against oxidation and UV light, both indoors and outdoors. Montana VARNISH will not yellow or de-saturate your artwork.
Tip: Ensure all surfaces are completely clean and free of dust, oils, and rust prior to use. The more coats applied, the stronger the UV protection will be. During application, protect the object and the surrounding area from spray. Further coats might require a drying time of 24 hours or more depending on ambient temperature and humidity. Always test spray on a non-visible area to check compatibility of varnish. This product is NOT compatible with synthetic base lacquers.
Available in a 400ml can, gloss finish. For a matte finish, try Montana Matte VARNISH Spray.
Note: This is considered a hazardous item and can only be shipped via ground service within the 48 contiguous states. To prevent spraying during shipping, cans are packaged with a black plastic safety washer under the nozzle. This washer must be removed before the cans will spray.
