Dux Oil-Based Slow Set Gilding Size is an oil-based gold and metal leaf adhesive with an exceptionally long open time – 12 hours or more depending on temperature and humidity. Proper tack will set up in about 10-12 hours, again depending on temperature and humidity. If less tack time is required, Slow Set may be mixed with Quick Dry Size to achieve a wide variety of tack times.
Oil sizes are recommended for exterior gilding, such as signage and architectural detail.
Tip: Let cure for a minimum of one week before applying sealants or additional finishes.
