Winsor & Newton Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil

Winsor & Newton Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil, as the name suggests, is extracted from flax seeds without the use of heat. Winsor & Newton Refined Linseed Oil is slightly more yellow and dries slightly faster than Winsor & Newton Refined Linseed Oil. It makes oil color "fatter", which reduces the consistency of the paint and increases gloss and transparency.

This medium is a helpful addition to fast drying oil colors to balance/slow the drying time. It's also used by artists for grinding pigments to create custom oil colors.
