Yasutomo Standard Baren

Baren is a smooth, light rubbing pad made of bamboo bark, used in traditional Japanese woodcut printing or Ukiyo-e.

• The strong grain of its tough surface allows the artist to apply pressure firmly and efficiently to the paper.

• Great for burnishing fused papers and for mono-printing.

• The bamboo bark which is wrapped around the baren will not damage the paper while burnishing.
