Jacquard Gutta Resist is used to draw the outline of an image on silk. When used with liquid dyes, Gutta stops the flow of dye at the resist lines.
Jacquard's Gutta Resist is made from natural Gutta-percha (tree sap) which produces the finest resist available. Gutta Resist becomes permanent with air-drying and is intended to remain permanently on the fabric. Any resist should be completely dry before applying dye.
Note: When used with heavier silks, Gutta Resist may have to be thinned (with Gutta Resist Solvent) so it completely penetrates the fabric.
