Copernicus Whole Geode

This Copernicus Whole Geode is a rock with a secret. The exterior of the most common geodes is generally limestone or a related rock, but inside are sparkly quartz crystals or chalcedony deposits. Put it in a sock and smash it with a hammer!

Geodes are rock cavities (or vugs) with internal crystal formations or concentric banding. Some types of geodes, called nodules, are filled with crystals.
