Spooky DIY: Slime Time
This DIY will make approximately 16 oz of slime. We got creative with colors and added our slime to jars decorated using Posca Paint Markers! You're only three easy steps away from slime time!
Ingredients:
18 oz Elmers glue
Food coloring or Sargent Watercolor Magic
1 TBSP of Baking Soda
3 TBSP of Contact lens solution (must contain boric acid in the ingredients)
Optional: Add 1 TBSP of water to your glue before adding baking soda if you’d like a stretchier, stickier slime!
Supplies:
Large Bowl
Measuring Spoons
Stir sticks
Stirring Sticks
Jars
Posca Paint Markers
Instructions:
Pour 16 oz of glue into a large bowl. Mix in various food coloring (or Sargent Watercolor Magic) if desired.
Add 1/2 TBSP of baking soda and mix in thoroughly. Also add 1 TBSP of water here if you want a stickier, stretchy slime. Add in ½ of contact lens solution (adult supervision recommended).
Mix until slime begins to form. Add in 2nd half of contact solution and continue stirring. Knead with your hands thoroughly. If slime is too sticky, add more contact solution sparingly.
And just like that, you're one step closer to a spooky (and slimy!) Halloween!
