Arches Aquarelle Watercolor Papers

Arches Aquarelle Watercolor Papers are made the traditional way, on a cylinder mold, in France. The 100% cotton fibers are evenly distributed, making for a more stable paper that can withstand water without warping or bleeding.

Exclusive to Arches, these watercolor papers feature natural gelatin sizing to the core, which preserves the luster and transparency of colors while preventing paints from penetrating into the paper. It allows superposing of washes and gives the paper added strength to resist erasing and scratching without tearing or linting. It also allows paints to be removed, either wet or dry, easily revealing the color of the paper. Arches Aquarelle can absorb a large amount of water with limited deformation.

These papers are a favorite for watercolor painting techniques. Each sheet is acid-free, buffered, with no optical brightening agents, and contains an antimicrobial treatment to help resist mildew.
