Ampersand Gessobord is a semi-smooth, semi-absorbent surface excellent for oils, acrylics, and mixed media. Gessobord is made from premium, warp-resistant 1/8" profile fiberboard that is protected and coated with professional-grade acrylic gesso. It is an acid-free, archival, museum-quality panel. The superior quality acrylic gesso ground does not dull colors and the slight, even texture provides exceptional brush control for fine detail. Gessobord is perfect for plein air, palette knife work, heavy impasto, wipe-out, and glazing techniques.
Panels are made with a high-quality, medium density fiberboard (MDF) which offers a strong, stable surface that holds up to heavy paint applications and rigorous palette knife work.
