These smooth panels are ready-to-use; no need to seal, apply layers of gesso, or sand. The surface texture is similar to that of a gessoed canvas in texture, appearance and absorbency, giving artists the familiar feel of a fine linen or canvas with the additional advantage of painting on a rigid surface.
Panels are made with a high-quality, medium density fiberboard (MDF) which offers a strong, stable surface that holds up to heavy paint applications and rigorous palette knife work.
